Full Time Employment
Shop Production Coordinator, Blue Whale Studios
I am forever grateful to the incredible team at Blue Whale for solidifying my love for production. As their shop production coordinator, I got to be involved in every aspect of this award-winning special effects makeup and custom prop workshop. From office management to script processing/ creative development to sanding 3D prints and prepping sculptures, I learned the ins and outs of what it takes to turn a creative vision into a tangible reality with some of the most intricate deliverables. I helped us stay on time with many a color-coded calendar, kept producers in the loop on progress and unforeseen problems, and made sure our shop team had what they needed to be successful in terms of specialty supplies and concept approvals. In my 2 years there, I also got valuable experience working on the less glamorous business operations with responsibilities in HR, accounting, shipping, warehouse organization and building management.
Associate Producer, Skillshot Media
In my opinion, professionally produced live-stream/ broadcast operations are arguably one of the most fast-paced and intense work environments, even by media production standards. I was fortunate to start my career with Skillshot— experts at the forefront of everything esports, live-stream production, and large-scale events. Projects come together quickly, and I worked closely with the executive producer and founder to make sure our contractors were taken care of from onboarding to final payout, in addition to other budgeting and accounting responsibilities. I also worked with a small team to help organize corporate events for Fortune 40 clients, taking on research and higher level project management in addition to the backbone of any good event: customer service.
Production Credits
Class of ‘09 (Hulu 2023)
This was my first major job on set, and I served as the Hair and Makeup Coordinator on set to Oscar and Emmy nominated department heads on this complex limited series. With lots of unique sci-fi elements and the entire main cast being involved in a multi-decade story, it was a huge continuity and logistics feat to keep track of all of the wigs, injuries, and multiple levels of aging prosthetics. I’m extremely grateful that I got to jump in the deep end of the production world with this project, and proud of the many iterations of calendars, script breakdowns, and lookbooks I created.
Ironheart (Marvel 2025)
Being part of the Marvel machine for this project was a blast. I served as a Special Effects Makeup Coordinator mainly from the workshop offsite, with a couple targeted set days on big days, as well as trailer load-in and out. Aside from stocking and organizing the trailer with the department head and keys, I arranged the hiring and scheduling of additional artists to assist with the full body prosthetics the show required. I also coordinated the creation and delivery of prosthetics, as well sourcing specialty products for the trailer and workshop teams.
Blue Whale Studios Projects as Shop Production Coordinator
While serving as the shop production coordinator at Blue Whale Studios, I worked on a number of show and films that has substantial special effects makeup and/or custom props. As a third party coordinator, I’d work collaboratively with our shop team and producers to bring their vision to life, organizing meetings, getting actors in for lifecasts/ 3D scanning, handling delivery of final prosthetics and props, and more. Some notable projects include:
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” (Season 1) (Disney+ 2023)
“Captain America: Brave New World” (Marvel 2025)
“The Electric State” (Netflix 2025)
“The Collaboration” (TBD)
“Holland, Michigan” (TBD)
Commercials
I’ve worked freelance on a number of commercials as a production assistant or coordinator in the Chicago area.
-
This commercial was an epic international collaboration for Buldak, the popular Korean instant noodle company. As a production assistant, I primarily served as the client liaison with the South Korean team from Samyang (Buldak’s parent company), driving them to our locations around Chicago and making sure they had everything they needed on set. I also supported the food stylist and art department as needed, alongside more traditional PA duties. It’s possible that I make a small cameo in this commercial because the director loved my purple hair and (professionally) insisted that I appear in a scene.
-
I served as a production assistant for this fun house-party style commercial. I did a couple prep days of runs, assisting wardrobe, and green room prep for our celebrity talent. On the shoot day, I assisted with load in/out, timecard and tax document distribution/ collection, product runs, and emergency facilities troubleshooting.
-
I worked with a small team to do a documentary-style piece about an Amazon Small Business Grant Winner. I helped with releases, catering/ crafty, lighting, set dec, and talent coordination.
-
We shot a couple segments of different women and minority owned small businesses that sell on Amazon based in the Chicago area. I was the onsite coordinator, serving as the production office on set in addition to covering PA duties and being part of a makeshift 2 person art department.
Live Events
Both on and offsite, I have been part of multiple large events in project management/ office management roles.
-
While working at Blue Whale Studios, I was the offsite project manager/ HR/ accounting/ legal department for the Hair and Makeup departments of SeaWorld Orlando’s nearly 2 month long Halloween event. I worked closely with the onsite coordinator, SeaWorld’s event team, and workshop to bring this event to life from it’s debut year in 2021. I onboarded over 40 artists, organized travel and accomodations, sourced specialty inventory for the run of show, coordinated prosthetic production and delivery, manually scheduled artists weekly, and completed payroll biweekly.
-
I was the office manager of the Chicago leg of United Masters “Earn Your Masters” pitch competition. I worked with the in-house event production team to set up and run our production office and event space at a downtown venue. I did all of the normal office things— printing scripts and schedules, putting up signage, signing out walkies, organizing files and supplies, etc. I also managed a team of PAs and handled communication with the venue staff to arrange crew meals, craft services, and the talent green room throughout the day.
-
This is easily the largest event I’ve worked on, taking place at McCormick Place and having over 5,000 in-person attendees, and over 10,000 digitally. I was the Assistant Stage Manager for the digital broadcast portion of the event, coordinating the flow of high profile business talent throughout our full 2 days of programming. I also managed the talent green room, assisted with set dec, and acted as a stand in when needed.
-
After leaving my Associate Producer job at Skillshot, I returned for a week long stint as their staff and office manager for the Brawlhalla World Championships in November of 2022. The event had over 1,000 attendees, and was the event’s first year back in person after the pandemic. I managed a team of around 30 brand ambassadors for the 3 day event, with a couple days of set up and prep before.
